Silver Eagles, Lincoln Dollars Lead US Mint Coin Sales

US Mint coinsNo doubt the United States Mint has been busy — they launched five new products in a matter of days. The two best selling in the latest United States Mint coin sales figure report were the highly anticipated 2010-W Proof Silver Eagles and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential $1 Coins.

Sets gained strength in this round, and the 2010 Proof Set increased the most by adding 34,059. The 2010 Silver Proof Set shot up 15,746 and the Mint Set rose 12,097.

Not many collectors thought about numismatic gold items like the Proof Gold Eagles, Proof Buffalos and First Spouse coins. Authorized U.S. Mint Purchasers, on the other hand, picked up another one million Silver Eagle bullion coins and moved the annual sales total beyond 32 million.

Silver Eagles had a big week. Not only did the collector 2010 Proof Silver Eagles launch with high demand, per the most recent US Mint sales figures, but the bullion Silver Eagles soared to new highs.
