Braille, UHR, & Lincoln Sales Figures

Mint Sales Figures ImageLincoln Silver Dollars and Lincoln Birthplace cent rolls look to have settled into their final figures, according to the latest sales report from the United States Mint. The numbers have remained constant for two consecutive weeks.

The proof Lincoln silver dollar officially sold out Tuesday morning, although new orders had been on a “waiting list” since March 27 — meaning the Mint would process a new order only if an old one prior to the 27th was cancelled.

Ultra High Relief (UHR) $20 gold coins picked up slightly, with 1,300 sold compared to the prior week’s reported 491. Likely helping somewhat was the Mint $50 price reduction on April 8…

First Spouse Gold Coin Sales Figures

First Spouse Coin Sales Figures It was an ungentle week for First Spouse Gold Coin sales, to say the least. With the exception of Anna Harrison spouse coins, all other figures fell.

The US Mint does not include reasons for coin movements, up or down, in their weekly sales reports. However, at least a portion of the declines is likely attributed to returns, with collectors sending back recent purchases following the $25 price reduction last Wednesday for each coin…

US Silver Coin Commemorative Sales

Sales Stats imageFor the second consecutive week, the latest United States Mint sales stats show a general decline in collector activity for US silver coins and sets. Recent fluctuating silver prices could have been a deterrent, as collectors may be more willing to standby and first see where it all settles.

Lincoln Silver Dollar sales figures have remained unchanged, following the last series of Mint adjustments when numbers were shifted lower. The maximum amount of individual coins have sold out, which leaves 50,000 proof coins reserved for the special 5-coin set coming later this year…
