US Mint Collector Sales Two Week Report

US Mint coinsSince the US Mint was closed for several days due to a snowstorm, this week’s report contained two weeks of sales increases. With the combined totals, some products did exceptionally well, while only a few were a little sluggish.

The 2010 Presidential Dollar Proof Sets launched Feb. 11 and sales skyrocketed to 224,426. The 2009 Mint Sets also exploded, kind of unexpectedly, adding 15,244 to their prior 704,862 total.

The 2010 Native American dollar rolls puckered out and so did the 2010 Kennedy half-dollar bags and rolls. It’s probably no surprise, since launches are usually the high point for two of the least used coins in circulation.
