Collector product sales slowed down as a group in this round of figures from the US Mint. The biggest seller, however, was the commemorative American Veterans Disabled for Life Silver Dollar. More than 24,000 proofs and 8,000 uncirculated versions sold during the week.
The closest competitor to the Veterans coins was the 2010 Presidential $1 Coin Proof Sets. Its weekly sales increased by 11,741, but in prior weeks it had been as high as 25,512 and 76,526.
In the gold products, American Buffalo Proof coins slid from last week’s 413 down to 384. First Spouse gold coins cut back even more by decelerating from 507 to 193.

First Spouse Gold Coin Sales Down by Half
First Spouse Gold Coin sales were down this week, by more than half of last week’s performance in fact, according to the latest US Mint sales figures. The total added was 193, compared to the prior 507. Only one of the ten available 24-karat coins experienced a better-than-before sales improvement. That was the Anna Harrison proof coin. It jumped by 56, beating last week’s increase of 33. DAV Silver Commemoratives Pass 131K, Silver Eagles Advance
Investment demand for bullion American Silver Eagles increased during the last seven days, but excitement abated for other American silver products. According to the latest United States Mint sales statistics, Silver Eagles advanced another 750,000 since last Wednesday — improving to 1,175,000 during the first ten days of this month.
