US Mint Collector Uncirculated and Proof Coins Sales – July 31

Proof Sets were the biggest winners in the latest round of US Mint Coin Sales Figures. Despite the 2009 Proof Set and the 2009 Silver Proof Set having respective youthful launch dates of only June 1 and July 17, their sales have hit whopping totals of 888,329 and 350,572.

The inclusion of the four bicentennial Lincoln cents is a large reason for what looks to be a smashing popular success of this year’s sets.

Collector coins were mostly mixed compared to last week’s coin sales report which showed higher interest in nearly all Mint offerings.

  • And to top it off, American Eagle Silver bullion coins sprung past 16 million for the year and 2,585,000 for a yet to be completed July — already registering the second best month and continuing at a record-setting yearly pace.

US Mint First Spouse Coin Sales Higher

First Spouse Coin Sales Figures US Mint First Spouse Gold Coin sales improved ever so slightly compared to the last reading reported on July 22.

Silver Proof Sets Jump

Sales Stats imageSilver coin news of the week is the smashing success for 2009 Silver Proof Sets and bullion 2009 American Silver Eagle Coins. The latter passed 16 million this year — 16,409,500 to be exact!

With July not yet over, silver eagles have already entered the record book for the second best month in 2009 with a total of 2,585,000 sold. (February leads with 3,132,000.)
